Johnson is hosting student-led info sessions in China this summer. Come and learn about our school, its culture, and mingle with current students and alumni if you are interested in becoming part of our family.

We made our maximum efforts to know you more. You will be assigned into groups of 6-8 perspective students and talk with current students and senior alumni covering career topics such as Private Equity, Investment Banking, Sales and Trading, Consulting and General Management. Student representatives from Johnson Admission Group will also be there to answer your questions relating with application process.

Speaker:       Dr. Rachel Gong, MBA’99, Chairman, Johnson Club of China
 
Dr. Gong has both operating and investment experiences in the biotechnology industry in China and US. She joined Morningside Ventures in 2004 to focus on healthcare venture investment and serves on the board of a number of its portfolio companies. Prior to that, Dr. Gong held positions in biotech management at QIAGEN, public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and investment banking at RBC Capital Markets. Dr. Gong received her M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell University. She also holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a B.S. in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.

Speaker:          Cheng Yi, MBA’11, Boston Consulting Group
 
Cheng Yi will be joining Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Associate Consultant in August 2011.  Prior to enrolling in her Accelerated MBA program, Cheng Yi worked as Associate Consultant at Bain & Company Great China office for almost four years, served both multinational and local clients in over 15 projects on Corporate Growth, Market Entry, Portfolio Company Turnaround, Commercial Review & Valuation, Deal sourcing, Due Diligence, and Organizational Change. Cheng Yi received her M.A in Economics from Fudan University and her M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell University.

Sam just completed his MBA in May 2011 at the Johnson School in Cornell University and graduated with Distinction. Prior to his MBA, Sam spent two and a half years with HSBC Hong Kong in its Commercial Banking Management Associate rotation program, with his last position as Vice President, Commercial Banking. In the summer during his MBA, Sam did an investment banking internship at Bank of China International's Debt Capital Market team in Hong Kong.
Starting August 2011, Sam will be working at McKinsey's Hong Kong office as an Associate in the generalist pool. Sam received his B.B.A. in Finance (First Class Honors) at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Sam passed the CFA Level 1 and 2 examinations. 
 
Dominic K. Bow , MBA’11, ex-President, Johnson Asia Business Association
 
Dominic K. Bow will be joining Barclays Capital as an Equities Associate in August 2011.  Prior to enrolling in his MBA program, Dominic spent four years in the Leadership Development Program for Telus, a highly-regarded telecommunications service firm in Canada. He rotated within the areas of Information Technology, Marketing and Corporate Strategy, where he was involved in the strategic planning for the firm's capital budget. Last summer, Dominic worked as a Summer Associate with Nomura International Capital Markets Division in Hong Kong. 
Dominic received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo and his M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell University. Dominic is also a CFA Level 3 candidate.
