Michael G. McErlean is Chief Executive Officer of a joint venturebetween Hollyhigh International Capital, a mainland Chinese investment bank andELI Holdings Inc., an international advisory firm that provides investment,trading and government relations solutions in China.
Michael is a business development and relationship management professional whocombines over 30 years of management experience working in the US, Asia andEurope. He leverages this background as he seeks new business opportunities andfosters ongoing relationships with clients of both ELI Holdings and HollyhighInternational Capital.
Mr. McErlean has worked for Goldman Sachs for +20 years in Chicago, Singapore,Tokyo and London. During that tenure he was responsible for developing growthstrategies, improving operational performance and processes, and establishing anew strategic direction for the Futures Services department as increasinggrowth of electronic trading impacted the business.
He was also a board member of three different derivatives exchanges and oneclearing house in the three main trading time zones of Asia (SingaporeInternational Monetary Exchange), Europe (London International FinancialFutures Exchange) and the US (BrokerTec Clearing Corporation, Eurex US). Healso worked for Deutsche Bourse as the Director of Sales and Marketing at EurexUS and was managing director of a start up brokerage firm that was financed byCommunicating Ltd, a privately owned UK-based technology company.
He has been an Executive Board Member of the Futures and Options Association(U.K.) as well as a past Chairman of the U.K. chapter of the Futures IndustryAssociation and is a current member of the Guild of International Bankers inLondon.
